The complex wing motion of insects and small birds leads to high lift production in nature. Specific lift-enhancing mechanisms arise from the combination a horizontal stroke secondary pitching motion. Research around flapping nano air vehicles (FWNAVs) copies this fly drones, an effort benefit same mechanisms. A aerodynamic model can predict force FWNAV helps understand influence kinematics thereon. This work starts quasi-steady expression for aerodynamics proposes wind-tunnel procedure identify coefficients empirically. is based on test case performed by AVT-202 research team that combines translation rotation, imitating condition simplified setup. Comparison measurements simulations demonstrates be used update parameters our specific configuration, leading empirical relation coefficients. Simulations with updated using relations show good agreement measured wide range input variables.
